Talk about a dud...

Good thing Joey didn't care, because Gavin was there. Oh, and the incredibly-obnoxious-i'm-glad-she's-not-my-child-because-i'd-be-in-prison-for-murder girl that babysits him.

That was it.

My brother, SIL and their kids didn't even show up.

My husband came by for about 10 minutes...he walked over a mile in the 110 degree heat, just to turn around and leave again.

That was it. No grandparents, nada.

I was really bummed about that, mostly for Joey. I mean, I didn't invite a lot of people, but we were expecting about 8-10 including me and Joey. Still. That sucks.

He did get some cool presents though. Because I farkin' bought them. MIL sent over with DH a video game for him that he really wants to play now, but DH is napping so he has to wait. (Mil had a good excuse for missing though, so I totally don't fault her in any way - we knew she wouldn't be able to come).

My sister got home at about 5:30 from work. She stopped off to Target to get him a present and look for a light saber (which the only one they had was $50 - and I wasn't paying $50 for a farking light saber). She got him a national geographic game that's kind of like Operation - the overweight bald guy with the alcoholic-cherry-red-nose where you pull his parts out and get electrocuted if you hit the sides - but with dinosaur bones. He'll like that. He loves dinosaurs.

I got him a PlayDough Ice Cream Truck and a new pack of the crap. He LOVES LOVES LOVES playdough and must have 7 or 8 different play sets - we jsut go thru it so fast because he likes to let it dry out *rolling eyes*. I also got him 2 Star Wars action figures, a foam picture thingy of Spongebob that he can put together, some stained glass to paint, a lego car, and a Darth Tater (SW Mr. Potato Head).

I also got him a new bedding set with some framed Star Wars pictures to hang on his wall. I think besides the SW Video Game from MIL, the bedding is his favorite.

He got a check in the mail from Great-Grandma for $15, and he wants to go to the mall tomorrow to ride the carousel and buy pretzel sticks. So, that's what we'll do :)

After my 3 trips to Walmart in the last week, he has more money than I do!

Oh yeah, and our cab driver this afternoon gave him $5 as a birthday present :) Wasn't that nice!!

Sorry that more people didn't show! That sucks. He did get some fun stuff though (even if it's from you)
