The next edition

By request, lol.

Well, Tuesday I got called in to work on only 2 hours of sleep. that really sucked. I had to take Joey with me b/c I didn't have a babysitter.

Wednesday, we got a suprise visit by these 2 ladies, who it turns out, are from a company that is outsourced by our corporate office. They did the inspection from hell. They came in at about 9am, and were there until 9pm. 12 hours of inspection. Nobody bothered to call Tristan - he had the day off. He left in charge a big ass lazy m'f'er who ended up running out the door around noon or one, I can't remember. Leaving poor ditzy Joette to fend for herself with the ladies, as well as trying to run an entire restaurant.

I have many, many, many complaints about this Matt character, but I won't get into that. He'll be gone in 4 weeks anyway (he's a mgr trainee for one of the stores in texas).

Yesterday, Sean (a good new manager trainee) came in. I told him about the inspection and he called Tristan. T didn't seem worried. 13 critical violations and 5 major. Now mind you, this wasn't the health department, but if it had been them....BAM. Yano.

I'm 99.9% sure that they were sent in there b/c of the numerous calls to corporate office about management, etc. I didn't call them or anything, i don't really want to be involved in that stuff. I'm chicken like that. But I know of about 7 or 8 people who DID contact corporate. and 2 or 3 of those contacted INS as well.

Tristan said today that it was a rumor that INS was coming in, and this had nothing to do with complaints, yadda yadda yadda. Well, INS *was* called. Who knows if they'll actually show up or not, since most of this states economy and jobs are taken by imigrants. Who knows. If they do show up, they can kiss about half of our back of the house crew goodbye. We'll see if it actually happens though.

But personally, I think Tristan should be more worried about his job than he seems to be. I"m going to start ignoring it and just do my job. It's causing me too much stress worrying about it, and I don't want the stress. I'm there to make my money and go home.

Don't know if I'm gonna get the job at the Outback. I never got a call back about the 2nd interview. I called on Wednesday and the shift manager said that 'if you passed the test then they'll call you'....and nobody's called. Oh well. I'm probably too old and fat to work there anyway. No matter that I'm a damn good waitress.
