Our field trip today
First, I want to start off by saying that my teeny tiny son FINALLY weighs more than my nephew! *WOOT* Gavin is 6 months older and has ALWAYS been bigger than Joey, by a good 5-10lbs. He's still about 2" taller, but Joey weighs 2lbs more, LOL.
We left this morning at about 11 and walked over to my sister. She doesn't live but maybe 1/2 mile away, but on the other side of the canal. There is a bridge that goes over it, but DAMMIT, it was closed. So we had to go the VERY LONG way. Almost 2 miles out of our way. Joey was a trooper and rode his bike the entire way there!
Anyway, we went to lunch first at McD's, then headed to the Science Museum. Total it cost us $60 to get in for the 4 of us! EEK! We even had a stinkin' coupon. We paid extra on top of that though to get into the Planetarium for the movie "Deep Impact"...about some probe thingy that blasted into a comet.
It ended up being an awesome show, Joey loved it. I'd never been to a planetarium show before and it was just jaw dropping. Joey loved looking at the stars and the pictures, and the 3d planets.
Before & after that we did most of the rest of the museum. They had a couple special exhibits there, one of which we had to pay extra to see. That was brought to us by the people at Sesame Street - Know Your Body. It had all kinds of stuff to explore about how your body works; from sneezing to pooping.
Anyway, we did a whole bunch of stuff at the museum, and it was a very expensive blast. Now I need to take out a bank loan to buy some air. I posted a bunch of pictures in my scrappy blog: http://erinh.typepad.com/photos/my_son/ that you can check out.
After we left the museum, we wandered around Heritage Square for a bit while traffic lightened up. Check out my picture of the Rossen House. I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE this house!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I can't think of anything else pertinent to today, so I'll leave it at that, ROFL.
