Birthday Pictures

Here's a few pics of his birthday festivities, from yesterday & today

*Oh, for my s2k lurkers - we went to the mall today for some fun. We hit Johnny Rockets for lunch, the candy store for a big sucker. Had our pictures taken in a photo booth. He picked up a giant dragon from KayBe that cost me $7, 2 Nemo Sharks from the Disney Store (2 for 10, lol), and some fake poop to play Jokes on daddy with. He loves his fake poop*

Blowing out the candles

Blue icing should be BANNED (My fingers are STILL stained!)

Right before he opened the presents that I got him (can you say SPOILED?)

Darth Tater - He said that is his #3 favorite present. #2 is an Ice Cream Truck playdough set, and #1 is his Lego Star Wars video game that Gramma Lynn got him

At Johnny Rockets today at the mall :)

They sang Happy Birthday to him and gave him a little kiddy milkshake. He was DIGGIN' on that!

After the mall we went and got his haircut, so he looks like a boy now instead of a dish towel :)

I am the key

clock key
You actually don't unlock anything; you're the
winding key for an old grandfather clock. Few
people know how important you are unless you
aren't there, but there are a few who treasure
you all the time. You help people keep moving
forward, but you also help them through the
present by reminding them of the past.

What sort of key are you and what do you unlock?

Talk about a dud...

Good thing Joey didn't care, because Gavin was there. Oh, and the incredibly-obnoxious-i'm-glad-she's-not-my-child-because-i'd-be-in-prison-for-murder girl that babysits him.

That was it.

My brother, SIL and their kids didn't even show up.

My husband came by for about 10 minutes...he walked over a mile in the 110 degree heat, just to turn around and leave again.

That was it. No grandparents, nada.

I was really bummed about that, mostly for Joey. I mean, I didn't invite a lot of people, but we were expecting about 8-10 including me and Joey. Still. That sucks.

He did get some cool presents though. Because I farkin' bought them. MIL sent over with DH a video game for him that he really wants to play now, but DH is napping so he has to wait. (Mil had a good excuse for missing though, so I totally don't fault her in any way - we knew she wouldn't be able to come).

My sister got home at about 5:30 from work. She stopped off to Target to get him a present and look for a light saber (which the only one they had was $50 - and I wasn't paying $50 for a farking light saber). She got him a national geographic game that's kind of like Operation - the overweight bald guy with the alcoholic-cherry-red-nose where you pull his parts out and get electrocuted if you hit the sides - but with dinosaur bones. He'll like that. He loves dinosaurs.

I got him a PlayDough Ice Cream Truck and a new pack of the crap. He LOVES LOVES LOVES playdough and must have 7 or 8 different play sets - we jsut go thru it so fast because he likes to let it dry out *rolling eyes*. I also got him 2 Star Wars action figures, a foam picture thingy of Spongebob that he can put together, some stained glass to paint, a lego car, and a Darth Tater (SW Mr. Potato Head).

I also got him a new bedding set with some framed Star Wars pictures to hang on his wall. I think besides the SW Video Game from MIL, the bedding is his favorite.

He got a check in the mail from Great-Grandma for $15, and he wants to go to the mall tomorrow to ride the carousel and buy pretzel sticks. So, that's what we'll do :)

After my 3 trips to Walmart in the last week, he has more money than I do!

Oh yeah, and our cab driver this afternoon gave him $5 as a birthday present :) Wasn't that nice!!

Ick...too much to do!

I'm going to type this really fast and not bother to proofread because I don't have time.

I already cleaned Joey's room and I have 6 loads of laundry in the dryer. I have to go get them here in a few minutes.

Then we all have to shower and get dressed, hit the bus stop by 11am to go to Walmart. I hope the haircutters are open because Joey needs a haircut BADLY. We also have to pick up his cake from there. I'll probably get a few frozen pizzas and some chips for the kids to snack on. We'll bring a cab home.

Then I'll cab over to my moms house at around 1pm or so - we'll make the walmart trip quick. I have to clean up her living room b/c my sister didn't have time after she got home from work last night.

The birthday party starts at 3pm, and I'm not sure of all who's coming, but not that many people.

He's getting a boatload of star wars stuff though. I got him a bedding set, which I will actually set up before we leave. And then I got him some other little SW toys and misc things - crafty type stuff. My sister is going to target after work and said she wants to get him an Operation game that's a dinosaur instead of the ugly bald dude with the red nose.

Okay, back to the laundry room. Only got 2 hours to get all this crap done *sigh*

Don't let me forget my camera...again. Oh wait, last year I didn't forget it. I didn't have one because some asshat at Disneyland stole it *argh*. Oh well, I'll remember this time :) I hope.
