Verbal Diarhea
Joey has it. I've said it before, and his speech therapist confirmed it.
Ya see, Joey has some minor speech delays. It's only 'minor' now, last year it was kinda major. He's come a VERY LONG way with his speech. I'd say he's made a 90% improvement over where he was last time this year. I can tell that he's doing better when he can carry on a conversation with a complete stranger and they can (for the most part) understand everything he says.
But insert the VD (verbal diarhea, not venerial disease, lol). This has been an ongoing issue since he learned how to speak, and where most of his problems occurred - or the reason they occured. It's like his mouth is trying to act faster than his brain, or vice versa. He starts talking sooooo fasssssssst that words come out jumbled and it almost sounds like greek or something, lol. Can't understand a word of it, just a jumbled mess. He still does it when he gets overly excited or he's telling a story that he made up.
At last, a formal diagnosis. Verbal Diarhea. Not curable with Pepto or Immodium, but he'll eventually get over it (I hope!).
