Catching up....

The Government Sucks

Okay, well I guess we suck. Long story short - paid back taxes, get bill for penalties & late fees, start making payments. I missed one payment last month - was sick, short on cashola. Anyway, get a note from DH's work's payroll dept that his wages will be garnished. We owe a total of $179 - that's not including the check for $25 that I *just* sent them yesterday morning, lol. Anyway, no big deal, $179. But I call the IRS anyway to find out if they were indeed already paid thru DH's work, and how much we should expect them to take out of each check. She said it depended on his exemptions, but they have a set amount. She told me to look on the back of one of the papers I received and that there was a chart. I looked at the "married filing jointly" chart, 3 exemptions {me, dh, & ds}, and then down to bi-weekly {that's how often he gets paid}. The number there is $753.85. She told me that's how much he's allowed to keep off of each check. Everything over that goes to pay back the garnishment. Then I laughed at her. DH's last paycheck was about $535 BEFORE TAXES - and that was the biggest check he's ever gotten, ROFL {he doesn't make that much, lol}. So she's not sure how much they're going to take...we shall see...hmmmm..

4 Days Off
I'm getting 4 days off this week, I'm stoked. I'll have my regular Sunday & Monday and then also Tuesday & Thursday. Monday we're going to take the boy {we, being my sister & her DS} to the Arizona Science Museum. Joey's never been and I'm excited to take him. I have coupons. :)

Cranky Customer
I had a really cranky customer yesterday. Being bitchy for absolutely no reason. So I used this line on him..

"Why the hell are you so cranky? Are you still pissed that Santa didn't bring you that red wagon when you were a kid?" and I walked off...

Got $5 from him, rofl.

I had another one today, was talking to Bob about going to the doctor. I asked him if he got that bad case of Asshole taken care of? He wasn't my customer so I didn't get any tip, ROFL.

Vegas baby!
It's official. My mom booked our hotel tonight. We're staying at the Stardust. We'll be arriving Jan 29th, and leaving February 1st. I'm so excited!!!!! I'll post more in my scrappy blog since it's scrappy related, ROFL.

Joey's new computer!

{btw, I added one of those word verification code thingies when you post comments. I was getting way too much spam}

Anyway, my MIL bought herself a new Dell last week, and it came in this last Friday. Once she got it up and running, she brought her old one over for Joey to use. It's old, but it's in very good condition, although she did *something* to it that miffed up the hard drive. We're not THAT computer literate (when it comes to doing all that internal crap), so it took us 3 hours to figure out what was going wrong and how to fix it.


But, we got it fixed. Joey was actually in bed, but as soon as he heard the window's logon sound, he popped right up. He sat and waited while I installed a game that my friend Beth sent for him {wouldn't work on our computer b/c we run xp}. As soon as the game started he did this thing with his arm..lifted it up and yelled "YEAH! I knew it would work!" and now it's almost 10:30 and he's playing that game on his new computer, lol.

I'm about to throw his butt into bed though, I have work in the morning...even though he's off of school for 2 weeks. We're going to check and see what we need to get him hooked up to the internet in there though. We're thinking a y-splitter for the cable & another modem...we shall see.
