Posted some pictures...

Down below. The tv one's, look at them from the bottom up - that would be the proper order, lol.

=======================
He has been a DEMON OF HELL the last few days, weeks...etc. I have to have a talk with his teacher on Monday. Not sure what he did, but I'm not looking forward to it. He's been a demanding little twirp, not listening to us, blah blah blah. I'm getting quite sick of it, and nothing we seem to do is detering him from this behavior. He was never like this before, so I blame it on some of the other demons of hell that he goes to school with. Some of them are not quite the picnic they seem to be. I mean, he's still being a sweetie in his own right, but still...a shit, I tell ya. An evil mean little shit, lol.

Last night I went to do laundry. I stay at the laundry room the entire time for a few reasons. 1) I hate walking that distance back and forth, 2) don't want anyone stealing my skivies, and 3) it gives me some much needed "alone" time - no family, no customers...just me and my undergarments.

Well, I get back and Joey says "Where was you? I thought I losted you!". I told him that I went to the laundry room. He asks me why I didn't take him. I tell him "beacuse I needed some Mommy time". He asks "Why not have some Joey & Mommy time? Next time don't forget to take me!"

As sweet as that sounds - no, I won't take him. Why? because he runs, and yells and screams and disappears around the corner. Therefore my "alone" time turns into stressed out because my hyperactive kid is wigging out on me time. I like doing laundry by myself. I get so much more crocheting done, I cut out my stamps, I read my magazines - in quiet. Gotta love it!

Done rambling...I'm gonna go make dinner :)

A little dance montage ala Joey. He was listending to the Arena Rock station on TV. I believe this particular song was by Def Leppard. He did a cross between bad ballet & bad break dancing. The pictures are quite blurry...but you get the point, ROFL. Posted by Picasa

Then he started making this stupid face...held that way for a few seconds on live TV, rofl Posted by Picasa

Peanut Butter & Cheese Sandwich...

This was a conversation we just had...

"Mommy, can you make me a peanut butter and cheese sandwich? Those is my FAVORITE! YUM!"

"Huh? Peanut butter and cheese?"

"Yeah, remember like I said? 2 pieces of bread, peanut butter, and one piece of cheese!"

"Um, okay." {I walk into the kitchen to go make it}

"Sometimes peanut butter and cheese are good and sometimes they are sour. Don't make a sour one because then maybe I won't like it, okay? Remember, like I said?"

"Okay"

{start spreading the peanut butter and grab a slice of cheese}

"You want these cheese ON the sandwich? With the peanut butter?" {holding slice of cheese over the peanut butter'ed part}

"YES!" {jumping up and down waving his arms} "I'm so 'cited!!!!!"

{put the sandwich together and carry it to him, waiting on the couch}

"I hope this is good!" {takes a bite} "YUM! See I told you! This is delicious!"

And he ate the whole thing.....

To. Much. Candy.

I'm sick. Not from the candy though, we've got a cold/flu rolling around the house now. I've felt like crap all day today. I really wanted to leave work early, and thought I might be able to because we had enough people coming in. Wrong. They read the schedule wrong and the person they thought was coming in at 2pm was coming in to be cashier, not a server. One down. I would have been able to leave, and leave them with 3 on the floor, but they were expecting a busload of tourists between 2:30-3:30. I said "If'n they're not here by 3:30, I'm walking out"...sob's showed up at 3:25. Dammit. Well, I managed to make $25 in the last 30 minutes of my shift. I only got about half the load, the other half went to eat pizza, lol.

Maybe tomorrow they'll let me leave early...everyone else left 2-3 hours earlier than their scheduled shift - it's my turn dammit. I hope I get sicker. I can't call in though, I'm saving that for a special occassion.

I hit the store on the way home to get some milk, dinner, and sick-meds for us. I think I accidently shoplifted some ibueprofin. I can't find where i stuck my receipt, so I can't check...it was an accident, really.

I also picked up (and PAID FOR) a few bags of clearance halloween candy. I got some milk duds, whoppers, and a reeses variety pack. I dig MD's & Whoppers, and didn't get any on Joey's looting spree yesterday. At any rate, we have enough candy to last us until after summer, for sure.

Crap, I just sneezed...one of those "oh god, i'm really sick" kind of sneezes. Sneezes when you're an adult woman are no fun. Yano, because of that whole "i was pregnant and having a human growing inside me really f&cked up my bladder" problem. YOu know what I mean, right?

Happy Halloween!

Boy, this was one long day! On a quick unrelated note, we were able to pay our rent :) We were both afraid they might garnish DH's paycheck again - because his employer is stupid - but they didn't. AND he got another 25cent raise. That's $1 in the last 7 months - which is good because he went 5 years without a single raise. WOOT!

Anyway, this morning we had to be at the TV station for the Mid-Day news. My MIL called last week and asked if I wanted to take Joey in. I was going to be with my sister, so both the boys went. It was for kids 5 and under, so we were all good. They were good for the most part, not too fidgety, on camera at least. A few times Joey whispered "How many more minutes to I have to sit here!". They showed them {the kids} off and on during the whole hour, and the biggest chunk was at the end when this blonde lady was singing a Halloween song. My sis videotaped it and we watched it when we got home. We didn't have a good view during the show because we were behind the camera man. But we did see them get a big long closeup of Gavin in his mask, and then panned over to my Joey :)

He was sitting there totally bored, staring at the monitor and as soon as he saw his face he did his "I see myself and now I'm going to make stupid faces" face. He ended up winking at himself and sticking out his tongue, lol. My mom is going to take my sis's video and edit out the news parts and put the rest on a dvd for us. Maybe I'll be able to get it on here or something. It was hillarious.

Then we did Sizzler for lunch, and then headed to my sisters for a bit. Drove to my work so my sister could pick up her jacket and it took us 20 minutes to get about 60 feet - from the freeway exit to the entrance (which isn't far) because the semi's were backed clear up to the parking lot. Thankfully, it only took us about 2 minutes to get out.

Trick or Treating was an event. We went to the FAR west valley (yes, it goes farther west than my ghetto home). Also known as the Rich Good Candy Neighborhoods. The boys made out very well. Within 30 minutes their buckets were full and we had to dump them into backpacks. Of course, their buckets weren't all that big to begin with, lol. We went with my sister's ex-boyfriend {gavin's dad} and his current girlfriend and her son, and another kid that belonged to one of their friends. Jerry Springer anyone? All 4 boys were dressed in black. We had 2 Vaders, a Scream Ghost, and a Ninja. They were all 5/6 years old, so that was a treat, lol.

Then we hit MIL's house where I invaded her bowl of chocolate delights as well as a couple of her neighbors. Then off to my moms we went, where we INVADED her big basket of goodies. It's become a Halloween tradition. Our house was the last we hit - still is - and we clean her out.

When we got home, Joey helped himself to a final treat of some Smarties and headed off to bed. I put his candy into a one gallon container that I had and it was filled to the top and then some. That thing is getting hidden...far, far away. Now he's crashed out, and hopefully we'll be able to wake him for school in the morning, lol.

Anyway, a few pics are below :)

At the end of it all. I think that is a look of relief? Being forced to sit for an hour and be good is no easy task for 2 hyper 5 year olds! Posted by Picasa

Not sure what Gavin was doing here, or Joey...but it was the only half-way decent closeup I could get. Posted by Picasa

Another shot at the TV studio. This was at the beginning before Dorothy {far right, front} threw a temper tantrum because she couldn't see herself on the monitor, lol. Her dad ended up taking her and her sister {glenda, the good witch} out, and we never saw them again...hmmmm. Posted by Picasa

When we got to my moms. Halloween tradition that we polish off our {or our kids} buckets with her leftover candy. She had some good stuff this year. None of those crappy blow pops. Those get real old after a while. Posted by Picasa

This house was pretty cool. In their front bedroom window, you could see straight into a dungeon. They had the spooky music & a fog machine. Over the carport they had a ghost moving on a wire. That freaked him the hell right out, rofl. Posted by Picasa

Joey, hanging in front of a headstone in somebody's front yard. Posted by Picasa

Zack, Jacob, Gavin & Joey - yes, 2 Dark Baders...two different light sabers though, so we could tell them apart, lol. Posted by Picasa

The group of kids towards the end of the news broadcast. I was really digging on the girl in the Geisha costume and the little chicken. Joey and Gavin are in the front right :) Posted by Picasa
